About Us

The organization Naugachia Jan Vikas Lok Karyakram (Nau Jan Lok) is a non government, non profit, democratic, secular and social organization dedicated to the holistic development of marginalized communities of the rural and urban societies. The organization is registered under Indian Society registration Act 21, 1860 on 3rd March 1987 with the registration department, Govt. of Bihar Patna. It is also registered under 12A (A) of Income Tax Act 1961 in the year1991-92. For the utilization of foreign funds, the organization is also registered under Foreign Currency Regulation Act 1976. Since its inception in 1987, the organization has been working on the vulnerabilities of the marginalized communities with respect to various issues. The interventions have been in the areas of health, education, social security, agriculture, nursery, women development and women empowerment, flood and other disasters, livelihood, vocational and skill development trainings, relief and rehabilitation, organic fertilizers and biopesticides, poverty eradication etc. in the operational areas of Naugachia and Kharik blocks of Bhagalpur district of Bihar.The organization has succeeded in working on the aforesaid issues among the targeted community. The organization has made its specilal recognition in the service of targeted community. As a result, the awared, sensitized and empowered marginalized community can be visualized on the mainstream of developmental platforms in the rural and urban societies.

Goal

To establish an egalitarian rural society with holistic approach where equality of status and opportunity for each individual assures the dignity of the individuals and the unity of the Nation.

Aims and Objectives

  • To aware, sensitize and empower the downtrodden community for their integrated development.
  • To provide help and support to neglected, oppressed, poor and helpless rural and urban women, girls and children.
  • To link up the children with family and community.
  • To sensitize the community for the protection of child rights.
  • To do advocacy on child rights for positive environment building.
  • To aware, sensitize and capacitate the small, marginal and poor farmers for sustainable agriculture practices and livelihood security.
  • To mainstream the poorest of the poor on all the developmental aspects of rural society.
  • To aware, sensitize and empower the adolescent boys and girls regarding reproductive health and rights
  • To provide shelter, relief and rehabilitation to flood, disasters and waterlog victims.
  • To empower the poor rural women socially and economically through the SHGs formation
  • To promote investment and income generation activities among the poor rural people for becoming economically self reliant
  • To help street children reintegrate their normal life
  • To aware and sensitize the rural labour regarding their rights and to ensure work opportunity
  • To mainstream all the child labour in society through education and other activities
  • To empower and strengthen the PRI representatives for dedicating themselves to proper development of Panchayats.
  • To provide safe drinking water supply to rural population by hand pump, well etc.
  • To provide health, hygiene and sanitation to the rural population.
